Rated 5 out of 5 by from A concrete saw in the original gas axe format I love everything about it except for the wide kerf... Slows it down a bit other than that it's a Stihl..I love German tools

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chain sucks Cut 2 holes, 8”x12” and 12”x16” in a 6” slab of concrete. The chain was done. So much for that 40’ of 6” reinforced concrete. Dealer felt bad gave me another chain. Says his rep says there is a better chain. So I buy a million dollar tool with a 10 cent chain? They sure didn’t do that on my chain saws.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertised by Stihl, with diamond cutters it cuts smoothly. I am a homeowner doing extensive renovations. I wanted to be able to make clean cuts on some concrete block walls to open up for doors and windows. The diamond cuts cut like glass, I cut through the mid point of some blocks which produced a beautiful terrazzo style finish like polished cement by cutting the aggregate. Don't expect it to cut like a chainsaw through firewood. It cuts at it's own pace. I had a couple pieces of 5/8" rebar but I decided to cut up to it and finish with a cheap cutoff disk. I admit I am babying that chain, but it is expensive. The dealer convinced me to buy the cheaper 12" bar version. You save a bit of dough and the replacement chain will be a couple hundred bucks cheaper. I'm sure the 16" chain would last longer but I could conceive of no scenario when I would need to cut more than about 10" or so. The Stihl engine and quality are great and dealer support for me has been exceptional with a gas tank, oil and stabilizer thrown in after the deal. It is a wet saw so if you use it inside, be sure to open up the place with exhaust fans and put up some plastic to control the water, it can shoot about 12 ft if you let it. Of course, if you can cut from outside that's much preferred. The plunge cut capability is a winner, start slow and progress slow - accuracy and safety over speed will win the race. This is a big investment, but I am happy I made it. Can do lots of things like plunge cut a floor to run dust collection pipe underground, anchor a sea wall, etc. Limited by your imagination.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The GS Rock Boss is a great tool to have on hand. The GS Rock Boss concrete chain saw is a great product for intricate work. I use it constantly on construction sites where there are tight tolerences and the cuts have to be allmost exact. The light weight and versatility of the Rock Boss definitely make my job easyer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wicked piece of kit fantastic tool cuts the previously impossible !cut an opening on a customers home cleanly accurately and from the outside!=reduced mess clean cut=less remedial worki recommend you wear water proof trousers, have it connected to a mains pressure hose and take chain off if its not being used for a long period the chain will have very slight rust and will stick to guide bar also a water dispersing lubricant wd 40 or gt85 at the end of every days work and should last you well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should of had a water pump built in Problem is that you need a constant pressure water supply to run this saw. The water has to be on before you even pull the cord to start it. It should of had a built in water pump to allow remote job site users to work with low pressure water straight out of a portable water tank or gravity feed setup.
